If you are certain that you want to repair/build your credit...There is technically nothing a credit repair organization can do that you can't do for yourself.  To be successful, you will need to be willing to put in the work and educate yourself about credit/debt laws.  You can find DIY kits, links, and other resources on our site!  Our DIY Tool KIT, Credit Building Tool Kit, will provide the necessary resources to help you begin the process yourself.  Although the process of working out the time, and language to use when communicating with creditors, and the Credit Bureaus, in addition to the steps for verifying information and negotiating settlements can be daunting work; it is possible and legal for you to repair/build your own credit.

Keep in mind...Many people choose to have a credit repair expert do the work on their behalf.  Not only are they diligent in their work, but they also know the ins-and-outs of credit repair, credit building and have access to a plethora of information and resources due to the extensive hours spent on training, development, and/or receipt of industry-specific certification(s). 

Credit repair is a process that takes time...It's more of a marathon and not a sprint.  You must be committed to the process to ensure optimal results.  Credit repair typically can take 3, 6, 9, 12 months (sometimes longer) to achieve the goal.  Your current credit issues did not form overnight and it’s not realistic to expect them to be fixed overnight.

3. Do Not max out your credit card during the repair process regardless of and/or if you pay in full every month
   
4. Email all documentation from the three (3) credit bureaus and/or your creditors to us within seven (7) days of receipt
   
5. Do Not make any promises to collection agencies or creditors over the phone
   
6. Do...Pay down your credit card balances to as low as 10% or as low as you can possibly get them (start with the card that has the smallest balance).  We will discuss this more during our initial consultation/onboarding call

As a client of My Credit Phoenix, you will have access to your secure, client dashboard 24/7, and it will contain the necessary details to ensure that you're updated on what we are doing for you.  The dashboard shows you exactly what accounts have been disputed, removed, or verified as well as your progress with your scores, all according to the custom plan developed during your initial consultation/client onboarding call.

In some cases, a collection being resold to a new collection agency may reappear under the new collection agency, because it’s a new company reporting it.  Your debt can be resold multiple times until it is legally settled; however, you should always receive a reinsertion letter five (5) days prior to anything being added back to your credit report.   If you are an active client working with our team, we are in constant dialogue and should always be made aware of any reinsertion details.  If something reappears and you have not received a letter of notification...That is a violation.

For example, if the item is the result of documented/reported and proven to be the result of identity theft or the item has aged beyond the statute of limitations for the creditor to file a lawsuit it will be difficult for the creditor to try to collect the debt from you.
